-Falling-

"Absolutely brilliant"

submission: -Falling-
date: January 20, 2008

The quality of this is astonishing, I love every aspect to this; particularly your music, which fits perfectly and gives a Nightmare Before Christmas-feel to this. I love what you did with the tv and the rolled up paper as flowers. The plot of this is executed smoothly and all the different camera angles added so much to this.

Brilliant, brilliant stop motion brilliance. 10/10.

TANKMEN .5

"Best series ever"

submission: TANKMEN .5

I love the art and dry wit in all the Tankmen episodes, this one doesn't fail to provide the usual. Awesome, 10/10.

The One Layer Collab

"A mixed bag."

date: January 15, 2008

Some of these were great; however, a lot of the animators involved need more practice drawing mainly, and some of the ideas were based around silly 'random' humour - weights falling on people, etc. Lots did well though, and at least you managed to get a lot of parts in. I liked what you did with the loading screen.

I have one last problem with this: why limit yourselves to only one layer? I know you were trying to give this collab a 'theme' of sorts, but there's no need to reinvent the wheel. :D

Well done, anyway.

As soon as I saw that you were the author, I know this was going to be a hilarious parody. I wasn't disappointed. 10/10

SAATANA

"I love this sort of cartoon."

submission: SAATANA
date: December 16, 2007

I love this sort of bizarre animation - this is on par with Zekey and Firth for greatness. I really like the frequently used bright colours, the frame-by-frame and the random spurts of violence. 10/10.

Snow Throw

"Loved it!"

submission: Snow Throw
date: December 14, 2007

Really fun game, I thought many of the aspects of it worked wonderfully - though I noticed one common actionscript glitch; the player sticks to your mouse when you aren't holding down the left button sometimes. Otherwise, I found the art to be up to scratch, and the actionscript was well coded, so well done to the author!

Wedge, Much 2.0

"Good art, needs sound."

submission: Wedge, Much 2.0
date: December 13, 2007

This is great visually - your drawing skills are up to scratch, and you got things like the font right (which can often be a bad beginners' mistake). But this is really really lacking in one area.

IT NEEDS SOUND!

Without sound, the humour just goes right off. Add some background music definitely; I'd recommend putting something in that fits, rather than a piece of music that you personally like (ie. putting heavy metal or club techno into this just wouldn't ever work!). You might also want to consider voice acting, such as a narrator, or sound effects, like explosions going off in the Vietnam scene. This can be improved so easily, good luck.

Dinosaur Hunter Hunter

"Really nice!"

date: December 12, 2007

You've produced a really nice, enjoyable game here, congratulations on that. However, it's got a few bad points I think I should mention as constructive criticism.

First, the frame rate is a bit too slow, and the gameplay should be faster and more gripped. Also, I think the game could benefit with a few better graphics; I like the over-head style, but add some lighting and darkening to the characters and the environment. My final point would be about the hunters; you could really emphasise their attack, and yet they just seem to float over to the dinosaurs casually. Try to make them seem really attacking and brutal.

But anyway, I think what you've got here is great; the actionscript works all pretty well, and it all flows good. Nice!
